Wilkinson's is a family business founded in 1946 by Reginald Wilkinson, who, together with his young son Arthur, produced cut glass tableware for the London department stores.
A chance visit by an antique dealer in the late 1940's, requesting they re-cut some glass to remove chips and damage heralded the company's change of direction to the glass repair and restoration business.
The company enjoyed continued growth through the 1950's and 1960's and became more involved with the restoration of English crystal chandeliers which in turn led to the manufacture of their own fine quality reproduction fittings.
Today, the company is headed by Reginald Wilkinson's grandson David, and has grown to become one of the world's leading glass specialists.
