The French cage style chandelier is typical of the 18th and 19th century. Brass or bronze frames were dressed originally with rock crystal (quartz) and then later with less expensive glass drops. The reproduction chandelier illustrated here has 16 lights on two tiers, a polished brass frame and crystal pendant drops. Height 114cm / 45in, diameter 74cm / 29in.
